Terms of Service

These terms cover OumuaTown at [domain to be decided] (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.
1. What the Site is
- The Site is a directory shown as a small illustrated street. Each shop is a listing for an Agent Skill made by a third party (a "Seller").
- The Site only shows listings and links to the Seller's own website or source repository. We do not sell, host, deliver or take payment for any Skill. Any purchase happens on the Seller's site, under the Seller's terms.
- The street is fictional. It does not show any real place.
2. Accounts
- You can browse without an account. Commenting, marking "I used this", and applying for a shop need sign-in with GitHub or Google.
- You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at TODO(contact) if you think someone else is using it.
- You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, and at least 16.
3. Listings and Sellers
- Sellers submit a listing in a fixed format. We review each listing before it goes live (automated checks, an AI model, and sometimes a person). We may correct the category, ask for changes, refuse, or remove a listing at any time.
- Open-source listings are pinned to a commit and checked by reading the code only. We never run a Seller's code or install command. Closed-source listings are marked "Code not scanned".
- Sellers must have the right to offer what they list, describe it honestly, keep the declared permissions accurate, and keep their links working.
- Prohibited: malware or anything that tries to harm users or systems, adult content, gambling, and anything that infringes someone else's rights.
- The first 50 approved third-party shops are marked "Founding shop" and are free for 12 months from the day they go live. GetPaid's own shops do not take a Founding place. We do not currently charge for listings or sell advertising.
- A shop's look is generated from its category and slug. Building size does not depend on payment.
4. Comments and other content you post
- Keep it relevant, lawful and civil. No spam, no harassment, no personal data of others.
- We limit how often you can post. New accounts cannot post links, and all links are marked nofollow.
- Comments may be screened automatically before they appear. Comments reported by several users are hidden until reviewed. Shop owners can reply but cannot delete comments.
- You keep ownership of what you post. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on the Site and in share images you create.
5. Third-party sites and Skills
Links lead to sites we do not control. Installing or using a Skill is at your own risk; read the Seller's terms and the code first. See the Disclaimer.
6. Our content
The Site's design, artwork and code belong to the operator or its licensors. Listing text and media belong to their Sellers.
7. Advertising
The billboards on the street show only ads for GetPaid Skills (https://getpaidskills.com), which is run by the same operator. See the Disclaimer.
8. No warranty
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties of any kind about the Site, the listings, or any Skill.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss caused by a third-party Skill or site. TODO(IMYin: total liability cap, e.g. USD 50, to confirm with counsel).
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or remove accounts, comments or listings that break these terms. You can stop using the Site at any time and ask us to delete your account.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for material changes, show a notice on the Site.
